Led by Pete Bampton and assisted by Joao Pedro Feliciano (JP), the retreat will be in English, but Portuguese translation will be available from JP if needed.

This Retreat will be a 2 day immersion into some key aspects of men's development and an opportunity to taste the transformational power of spiritually inspired brotherhood.

The Retreat will begin on Friday after dinner with introductions and the setting of intentions for the retreat.

Day 1 - Saturday

Themes:
Cultivating a Spiritual & Energetic Foundation - Meditation & Qi Gong
Embodying the Heart-Warrior
Pride/Weakness vs. Humility/Strength
Activating the "Dark" Masculine

If we are to truly awaken and come together in deep brotherhood in the 21^st century we clearly cannot return to the patriarchal rigidities of traditional masculine culture and we also want to transcend the materialistic bias of the modern male rational mind.

But that is not all, because most of us spiritually inspired, progressive men also have to confront and unravel the distorting and depolarising impacts of our immersion in a postmodern "alternative" culture in which we have morphed into "sensitive new age guys", insidiously denying and suppressing the grit, spunk and pure passion of a healthily embodied masculine.

Saturday will be devoted to thoroughly exploring what it means to embody an authentic warrior spirit that brings our innate strength, purpose and courage online from a ground of deep love and vulnerability.

On Saturday night we'll have the opportunity to feel into and release the "dark masculine" or "wild man" that has been so marginalised and suppressed in western culture and we'll "cook" this invocation together in the Temascal and/or Firewalk.

Day 2 – Sunday

From the Lone Wolf to Conscious Brotherhood

Once we have authentically begun to discover a source of profound spiritual strength grounded in humility then we can dare to lean into the raw vulnerability of exposing our shadows and allowing our hearts to be broken and blown open by a wholehearted willingness to feel. In the afternoon Pete will lead an exploration of how to embody an authentic masculine polarity in the arena of emotional-sexual relationships, including "yogic" sexual practice.

It is our intention and hope that by the end this Retreat every man will be:

Infused with spiritual depth and brightness
Fortified with a deep understanding of key aspects of male conditioning
Inspired to manifest his unique purpose
Melted by the revelation of profound love between men
Opened to the Divine Power of the Brotherhood

All participants will have the opportunity to integrate and deepen their journey in a context of ongoing support with the Fire Heart Brotherhood after this retreat.

Peter is is the founder of the Men's Collective, and a transformational mentor who has lived 4 decades of deep meditation, penetrating inquiry and innovative, trailblazing spiritual community both as student and teacher. His passion and focus is the individual and collective remembrance and embodiment of the sacred fire of the human heart.

He was co-founder of The Awakened Life Project, a bold experiment in the evolution of consciousness and culture from 2008-2023, and is the author of The Fire of the Heart.

I'm a software engineer, an entrepreneur, with a passion to create, and to help others realise their full potential. When I started to explore spiritually, I discovered how detached I was from my heart, from feeling, from expressing my desires, my happiness. Going through the process of the Fire of the Heart with my teacher, my brothers, allowed me to open my Heart, to feel and discover my own big Heart. When I read testimonials that say "this changed my life" I am always suspicious.
But in this case I have no choice but to say exactly that: this retreat changed my life. I know it sounds cheesy but due to this retreat my life changed. That's a fact! This retreat showed me what I was missing. A brotherhood, an intimacy between men. The immediate safety to just drop every mask and be real was so impressive that I wanted more. I learned a lot about how I was acting as the "nice guy", forgetting about the warrior in me.

But it wasn't until this incredible and TRANSFORMATIONAL retreat that I realized how important it is to integrate and work on my masculine energy for my spiritual growth.

Until I experienced this retreat I had no idea of the masculine energy I had inside me. This discovery made me more confident and I took some steps towards being a man with a strong spine and an open and sensitive heart.

In a sense, it was an initiation, because there was a profound recognition of the Man I already am, deeply rooted, resilient, huge heart, with magic powers to be responsible for, nothing to proof. This retreat has shown to me infinity. Infinity is the context where it is shown to me that any security I want to obtain is an illusion, a creation of the mind. Seeing this and letting this in brings me more and more in a ground of the infinite truth, where I live in the unknown, in awareness of the Divine, in which I Am and freedom, bliss and happiness arise but are not a goal in itself. Popping-up patterns, fears, identifications (referring to duality and separation) are seen through easily. Experiencing, remembering and realizing this, makes me humble as I also see that in daily life. Now, after the retreat, being humble and letting this in every day, I experience a continuation of living in this ground of freedom, longer than ever before.

This was my first men's retreat, an event I have been waiting for quite a long time. Why? Because since I have been part of this Collective I felt there's something in this group that is very rare, something I never experienced before.

What is this something? I would say it's love, but in a form that is completely different from what I usually experience in other kind of relationship, family, partners or friends.

Is the love of the brotherhood, the love of the tribe.

Something so ancient, but also so lost in our culture. However it is still in our blood, waiting for being awakened. Getting in contact with this sense of brotherhood, this sense of belonging is one of the biggest gifts I have received in my life and from this Collective.

We often use the term warriors, to define ourselves and our work, but I feel is accurate also to define our bond. Because even if we don't necessarily know each other so well individually, we know that we we'll fight for each other life, like soldiers on the battlefield. With care, support, love and strength.

It still amazes me - and probably will continue to amaze me - to see the strength of this bond, the love between the warriors, the power of the tribe. Being part of it is a big honour and a big responsibility. I am extremely grateful and happy to feel like one of this strong, beautiful men and I want to live as on of them.
